ADR: Carriage of dangerous goods by road
Drivers of vehicles carrying dangerous goods in tanks or in packages must be in possession of an ADR vocational training certificate.
Every 8 weeks at our approved training centre we provide the choice of a 3 1/2 day course for packages or a 5 day course for both packages and tankers. Both courses include the seven common classes which are:
- Class 2 Gases
- Class 3 Flammable Liquids Dangerous Goods Training
- Class 4 Flammable solids
- Class 5 Oxidisers Organic Peroxides Dangerous Goods Training
- Class 6 Toxics / Infectious
- Class 8 Corrosive Dangerous Goods Training
- Class 9 Miscellaneous
By attending you can also increase your Driver CPC hours by 14 hours. Your instructor or our Admin Team will be able to guide you on claiming these hours.
The multiple choice question papers are taken on the last day of the course and the SQA confirm your results usually within 1-2 working days.
Candidates must hold a UK or Northern Ireland driving licence in order that a licence can be issued, this does not have to be a full driving licence. ADR licenses are valid for 5 years.
